UNESCO

The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) functions as a laboratory of ideas and a standard-setter to forge universal agreements on emerging ethical issues. IESALC

The International UNESCO Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC) is an autonomous entity - ascribed to the UNESCO - that gives continuity to the activities that for twenty years the CRESALC developed in the area of higher education in the Latin American region. The IESALC Headquarters is located in the city of Caracas - Venezuela.

Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning

The Fourth Pan-Commonwealth Forum on Open Learning (PCF4) was organized by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) in association with a Caribbean consortium and brought together stakeholders from governments and institutions, including educators and allied professionals from throughout the world to discuss "Achieving Development Goals: Innovation, Learning, Collaboration and Foundations". PCF4 will took place in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, October 30-November 3, 2006. The conference papers are now freely available online at <http://www.col.org/pcf4/>
